This is the post for all wordpress user and also for all newbies who are going to start wordpress. Here are some settings we should be aware and also use after installing wordpress or before doing work in wordpress.
These are 5 tips you have to follow after installing wordpress.
1.Permalinks
Default wordpress permalink is like http://yourdomain.com/p=123.
This permalink is short but not friendly for search engine. So the first thing you should do is change your permalinks.
You should change it to other permalink structure which is SEO friendly.To change permalinks login to wordpress then go to settingsà Permalinks.Then do same as shown you in above image.you can also put /%postname%/.html or /%postname%/.php as your choice.
2.WORDPRESS PRIVACY SETTINGS
Sometimes some blog are not seen to search engines.They have a problem in submitting sitemap or they have a problem in their privacy settings.
To change or check your privacy settings just go to settings->Privacy.
Make sure that you privacy settings should be on visible to search engines as shown in image. WordPress privacy settings has two options :
- Visible in Search engine
- Hidden from Search engine
3.EDIT YOUR PROFILE
By Default WordPress login Id is admin. To ensure the security of your wordpress blog create a user and give him the admin right.Make sure you use a complex password which contains mix character
4.Update your ping list
Pinging Sites are the best way to index fast in all search engines.
When ever you publish, edit any of your post, WordPress sends ping to all the services which is listed under your ping update service. So this way, ping services get notified about new post and all search engine will quickly index them.By default wordpress we get only 2-3 sites to ping but we can extend them by increasing/adding the number of ping sites manually.

5.WORDPRESS PLUGINS
