It is one of the easiest and well known method to get backlink for your site.Do not spam on websites just leave valuble comment.DoFollow blogs are better to comment and will help you to increase your blog’s Page Rank, but nofollow links still increase your link popularity.Remember that the comments you leave represent your blog.
