The final installment of the “Harry Potter” franchise grossed $82.5 million in two days from 43 countries and $43.5 million domestically in midnight runs, earning $126 million worldwide before the weekend, according to the sourese.
In India Harry Potter released this friday and early estimates for the movie is Rs. 4.75 cr. including all four versions- Hindi, English, Telugu and Tamil.
In the final installment, Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger return to Hogwarts to find and destroy Voldemort’s final horcruxes, which contain fragments of his soul. By doing so, they hope to render him mortal, so that they can finally kill him. But when Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle ever begins.
The movie is already out-earning the previous installment overseas by about 39 percent.
On 15th july Friday, “Deathly Hallows Part 2″ opens in 4,300 theaters, including 3,000 3D runs.
